I started painting when I was 11 years old, when my parents bought me my first canvas and a box of oil paints. From then on, oils became my favorite painting medium. Originally from India, I spent my teenage years in an art enriched environment.

I obtained my Masters degree and B. Ed. from the University of Delhi, India. I have also taken short courses in art offered at various Art Societies .

I like painting in the company of other artists as it keeps you continuously challenged and provides invaluable positive critique.

I was awarded the Gold medal (honours) award at the Juried Exhibition organized by Artdex International of Vancouver in 1995.
